Eternal Home, 2 Corinthians 5:1-2

Death is not the end but a new beginning. The Bible compares our body to a tent and describes heaven as an eternal home.

1. The Collapsing Earthly Tent

A tent is a temporary shelter. When it gets old and worn, it is taken down. Our body is the same. As time passes, it ages, gets sick, and eventually collapses. This is a natural principle.

2. Eternal House Built by God

When the earthly tent collapses, an eternal house in heaven built by God Himself awaits us. It is not built by human hands, and it is a place that does not perish, spoil, or fade.

3. Longing to be Clothed

We groan in this earthly tent and long to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling. This is not a fear of death, but a confession of faith hoping for a more perfect life.

4. Bold Faith

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. Believe that our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
