We need faith to overcome financial crises. God is unchanging and can sustain us in any situation.
1. Bring Your Fear and Anxiety to God
God cares deeply about our suffering. Cast your anxiety on God. "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
2. Live with Stewardship Consciousness
We are stewards of the money and resources God has given us. The ability to make money and build wealth comes from God. Put your hope in God, not in wealth.
3. Hold Onto God Tighter
In times of crisis, you must hold onto God even tighter. Will God, who feeds the birds of the air, not care for His children? God is greater than supply chains and recessions.
4. Practice Contentment in Good and Bad Times
Paul learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry (Phil 4:12-13). Trusting in God's provision leads to contentment with what we have.
5. Be Generous Even in Crisis
Open your wallet even more when times are hard. Generosity is a powerful antidote to fear. When we give, God delights in our generosity and fills us.
6. Pray in Times of Crisis
Paul met an angel of God through prayer even in the storm. When we pray in limit situations where our knowledge and experience are useless, God's work happens.
7. Dig Many Ditches in the Valley
In times of crisis, there is nothing I can do. We must expect God's help and dig ditches of faith. God provides miraculously beyond our thoughts and methods (2 Kings 3:16-20).
